Stroll with Sadie!

It's Sadieday! It's also the last day of July - where's the summer going? Well, we better make the most of it so let's get started on today's stroll! Are you ready? Let's go!
The weeds are pretty tall so I'll keep my tail up so you can see me.
Ruh roh, I hear something so tail down 'cause if it's a squirrel or deers, I don't want it to see me before I see it...
Must have been a bird or something so tail back up and let's keep going...
Do you see that? No, not the trees in the distance - the weeds up close!
My kitty sisfurs can't resist Temptations and guess I can't resist my own temptation either - off roading!
I hope you have a chance to enjoy your temptations too - whatever they may be!

Have a Happy Sadieday!

Friday Features

Today is Friday Features with a twist! The twist is that it's all about my shop, BeadedTail! The current Etsybloggers blog carnival gave the two choices of:

1. It's Summer time! Tell us about your upcoming or current Summer inspired designs!
2. Where, when or who did you learn your handmade craft from?

Well, I thought I'd combine both of these items today for my Friday Features. I'll begin with #2... I learned how to make beaded jewelry from my mom in the summer of 2007. She had taken a class in beading in Las Vegas and when she came for a visit she taught me and I loved it! Since then I have taught myself how to do several other things and continue to learn new techniques when I can. My mom is now working with fabric and things not as tiny as beads but she's still a creative help to me. As an accountant my mind works better with numbers than with being creative so beading is not always easy for me but it is always fun!

Now onto my current Summer inspired designs. My first item is actually inspired by our furiend Duke and today is his 3rd birthday so he'd love it if you stopped by his pawty!
Duke - Westie Dog Ceramic and Black Onyx Beaded Sterling Silver Earrings
How can I not be inspired by summer flowers?
Lily - Fuschia Flowers and Deep Purple Swarovski Crystal Antiqued Brass Earrings
Milo and Alfie's mom inspired these earrings when she asked about some green cat earrings. Angel and Isabella helped me put together several green cat earrings and this was one of the results...
Shamrock - Shiny Kitty Cat and Green Glass Beaded Sterling Silver Earrings
I just love purple and these cat focal beads so came up with this necklace recently too...
Violet - Purple Polymer Clay with Black Kitty Beaded Antiqued Bronze Necklace
I have several other ideas mulling around in my head - it just takes awhile to get them out! Anyway, hope you enjoyed my features from my shop, BeadedTail, today!

Supermodel At Work

It's been awhile since I've used my Supermodel abilities but today is the purrfect opportunity to do so. I'm going to model this great pouch that Erika from NicoDesigns made for my mommy.
Mommy has a thing for bags and likes to switch them out frequently so she asked Erika if she could make a pouch that would hold everything so Mommy could move it from bag to bag. This is what Erika came up with...
Erika put a little purple ribbon on the side because she knew that was Mommy's favorite color...
She also lined it with kitty fabric which Mommy really loves...
The pouch is purrfect and Angel says it holds a lot too!
Thank you so much for the great pouch Erika! We all really like it very much! It was fun dusting off my Supermodel skills too!

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

(Not So) Wordless Wednesday

This is getting way out of paw!
Seriously!
PeeS: Although the neighbor introoder cat Dooney looks purrfectly content in the ugly rock bed off the deck, Mommy says she's finally got an idea of what to do with it and plans are in place to fix it up very soon. I suggest we make it less cat furiendly so they stay in their own yard and out of MY yard!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! A day for me to nap in my favorite box! Usually I give lessons on Tortie Tuesday but I can see that today is going to be a test...
A test of patience!
Wonder how long this test is going to be...
Too long!
I passed the test and am certainly very patient but also realize that the sooner the photo shoot is over, the sooner I can get back to my nap!

I hope you have a Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Working Weekend

Last weekend it was too hot to do much of anything so we decided to help Mommy work on her beading.
I got the bead box open but I'll let Miss NosyTail look for what we need...
You finding those kitty beads Angel?
Are you sure you're just not playing in there?
Okay, so we weren't much help but we're sure Mommy appreciated our help all the same!

What project do you like to help your beans with?

Hope you had a great weekend and have a great week too!

Summer Scenes

We're going to spend today relaxing so we thought we'd share some photos of the summer scenes in our neck of the woods.

There were hundreds of butterflies up on Mary's Peak but they sure don't sit still long. This little guy eventually did though...
Summer on the coast means happy dogs!
There's lots on the Birdie Network in the summer too!
The Boys of Summer are fun for the beans to watch...
These guys are fun to watch too...
The best summer scene is us in a sunbeam!
We hope you enjoy the scenes in your part of the world today! Have a great Sunday!

Stroll with Sadie!

It's my favorite day of the week again - Sadieday! Glad you came to visit and hope you're ready for a stroll 'cause I am! So grab your water and let's go!
Once we're far enough up the trails and I've made sure the coast is clear, I let Mommy off her leash. Exercise due caution in letting your Mommy off leash since some will run off. Back when my mommy was a pup, she might have run off too but now she can't run far without me catching her and I've got her under bark control.
I also stop a lot to make sure she's still behind me...
and I go back and check on her from time to time too...
Now that I know she's safe, I'll continue on and enjoy our stroll!
I hope you enjoyed coming along with me today! Hope you can get out and take a stroll in your neck of the woods too!

Enjoy your Sadieday!

Another Introoder?

What is happening to MY front yard? Is there a sign out there that says "Cats welcome here"?
Remember how I told you about the neighbor cats Dooney & Bourke introoding on MY property? Well, they obviously put out a memo about MY property because you see that?...
It's their big sisfur Jasper!
She is looking so comfy and cozy on MY rocks that Mommy thought something was wrong with her so at first I was a little concerned but only because Mommy was concerned. After carefully watching her breathe, and seeing her move, my concern was gone and once again I had to contend with an introoder on MY property! I mean, can she feel any more at home?
I was asked on my last post if I bark at the introoders and no, I don't bark at them - I only bark when a human walks up my driveway and especially up to my front door. I do chase the introoders when they come into my fenced yard but so far I haven't caught them yet - they are quick little brats. I don't chase my little kitty sisfurs even when they tempt me by running by me like their tail is on fire. Why do cats do this? Did they suddenly remember they have to be somewhere else and must get there at warp speed? Anyway, I need to get back to watching for introoders...

Hope you have a relaxing, non-introoder filled day!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! I'm all excited today, can you tell?
That's my excited face because one of my dreams have come true! See what Mommy saw in town...
Do you see the object of my dreams?
It's Samson!
Samson has come all the way from Canada to my town! Isn't that exciting?

Today's lesson is if you dream it, it will come true!

Now I'm going to dream about a visit from Moon and Banjo and Inigo and Rumbles and Simba and...and...zzzzz
Sweet dreams this Tortie Tuesday!
