This and That on Thursday

We've had a busy week getting spoilt giving attention to our Grandma but to get a chance to nap to be nice, we let Mommy and Daddy take her to the coast. We thought we'd show you some of what they saw over there. Of course, they saw birdies... Don't you think this birdie wanted to come home to us? There's always lots of sea lions on the Bayfront and when Mommy saw them in this cage she thought the worst...
But the cage is a way they can contain a sea lion if it ever needs help so it's a good thing, not a bad thing. Phew! In addition to sleeping in the cage, there were lots of sea lions out barking at this silly man in a row boat... Also on the Bayfront was a TUNA boat! Can you believe she didn't bring us ANY tuna?
This little husky was in the back truck parked on the street and of course Mommy couldn't resist petting it and wanted to bring him/her home...
Thankfully she didn't! She saw the dad come out to the truck and it was obvious that woofie has a very good home. We think next time she goes to the coast we need to go too in order to get our own birdies and tuna and keep her away from woofies. We could travel in our very own Simba RV! If our furiend Simba was inside, that would be purrfect!

Anyway, we hope you enjoyed a little of this and that today.

Enjoy your Thursday!

I wonder if the man in the row boat was going "shoooo!" to the barking sea lions. That's just so funny.
The next time your pawrents go to the coast, we'll like to order some fresh tuna, please. :)

It is nice to see that Grandma got to go to the beach and relax. And thanks for the info about the sea lions.

I love the coast and all the animals you met there! The birdy didn't seem scared at all! I wish people would stop polluting the sea, so that the sea lions wouldn't get entangled in the first place, but I'm glad that those that do receive help from the Marine dept. :)

I have been to Newport a few times...love it! That sealion cage is new, they did not have that when I was there. Glad you had fun on the coast...wish I could have come too.

Wow, great post! We loved the birdie and sea lions...The mom says the woofie was gorgeous, but we're not too keen on woofies, on account of the neighbour's scary dogs!

If only all of the birdies could come home...

Wow! First, yes, how coincidental about our blog post titles.

And the RV is called Simba!

Now that tuna boat is a great idea: Maybe Admiral will consider a tuna boat. And that husky doggie is awful cute!

Love the sea lions! When we were in Newquay, Wales, we saw some dolphins near the shore. They said that there were supposed to be sea lions as well, but I guess it wasn't the right time of day. Ah well. Great post!

Wow! Simba has an RV with his very own name on it! I can just see the Isabella and Angel RV!
Your mommy had quite an exciting time at the coast! Hopefully, she DID bring you some treats!

The Farm cats used to travel in an RV and they say a lot of the USA while they were doing it. Even the coast of Oregon and Washington!

That looks like a really nice outing for your bipeds - but I wish you girls would have been allowed to go! Did they bring you home some salmon or anything?

What a fun trip for Grandma! And about that pretty husky - we think Sadie would love a woofie pal:)

We were reading your post while you were commenting on ours:) Ciara has not forgotten Thunder at all, she loves him still. He is a little jealous of the little guy, but she gives him lots of attention too:)

Nice trip, I'm jealous! I miss the ocean so much!!! I love the sound of the seagulls and the smell of the water. I grew up taking it all for granted and now I'm an hour away from the sea.

Thanks for sharing.

That was a great trip! That would be so much fun to be able to see those sea lions and to walk around the docks. My sister lives in Newport and they go to the docks all the time and get fresh fish.
I'm glad that you were able to have such a fun trip :)

So happy to hear that the Sea Lion cage was a good thing. That was scary for a second.
I can't believe your mom didn't bring you back any tuna. You should definitely go along the next time
